Pella vs. ProVia Windows: Which Fits Your House?
We install both. Pella and ProVia sit side by side on the showroom floor at 275 Canton Rd, and we are a confirmed Pella dealer. Neither one is the right answer for every house, so here is what we compare with homeowners before anything is ordered.
What Each One Is
Pella is an Iowa-based manufacturer of windows and doors, and it builds windows in more than one frame material. Ask us which Pella lines are on the floor when you visit.
ProVia is an Ohio manufacturer. We sell ProVia for custom-fit vinyl windows, patio doors, fiberglass and steel entry doors, and Super Polymer siding. ProVia builds to the opening instead of forcing a stock size into the wall, which is why we use it for replacement work.
What To Compare
- Frame material: vinyl or wood, and how it looks inside the house
- The opening: how well the unit fits the opening you actually have
- Glass and hardware: color, finish, and how it feels in your hand
- Finish inside and out: interior trim and exterior detailing that keeps water out of the wall
- Who installs it: the crew that also does your siding and doors, so the trim lines up
How We Help You Decide
We pick brands from what we install every week, not because a line is cheap to source. Sean measures the openings at the house, and you can see both lines in the showroom before anyone orders.
There is no franchise script. If one line fits the house better, we will say so.
